Who Are We?
My name is Chelsea, and I am a pediatric physiotherapist passionate about helping babies and children reach their movement goals. With years of experience across various healthcare settings—hospitals, outpatient centres, and specialized clinics—I have had the privilege of working with children of all abilities, both locally and internationally.
I was first introduced to Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), while working at the Centre of Movement in Australia, and it quickly captivated my interest. I then sought to refine and enhance my technique in Toronto under the mentorship of Jo-Anne Weltman, owner of SMILE Therapy for Kids and co-creator of DMI therapy itself.
I hold a BSc in Biomedical Physiology and an MSc in Physiotherapy. I am also an introductory level C practitioner in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) and have additional certifications in Treatment of the Pediatric Pelvic Floor: Birth to 18, rebound therapy/Therabounce and Trexo Robotics, to name a few. I am proficient in a range of modalities commonly used in pediatric therapy, including Theratogs, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES), Therasuit, and others. Additionally, I make it a priority to stay up to date on the latest research and advancements in treatments to ensure that my clients benefit from the most current and effective therapeutic approaches.
I have a love for animals and nature, which often inspires my choices of songs during physio sessions, such as “Old McDonald Had a Farm” and “Down by the Bay.” I enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor sports and activities. I love traveling, meeting new people, and discovering new places. This passion allows me to offer traveling intensives, where I can come to you! When I’m not working, you might find me outside enjoying the sun (or rain), reading, or learning new things. My friends and family are incredibly important to me, and their support fuels my enthusiasm for my work. Lastly, I genuinely love what I do.
Rozanne is family focused and loves spending time with her husband and 2 boys. They enjoy being active, riding their bicycles and exploring the treasures in and around Vancouver. Being able to structure her time around school and afterschool activities is counted as a privilege by Rozanne as she appreciates that spending as much time with her children as possible will help shape them into citizens that will contribute to the community and also have a love for helping others.
Rozanne is an Introductory Level C trained DMI practitioner. She has found that the neuroplasticity focus that DMI has, brings change and helps to achieve functional progress in children with a wide variety of gross motor difficulties. The beauty of witnessing the significant changes in a child’s (and their families) life has been an driving factor for Rozanne to continue bringing joy to families.
Rozanne has nearly 20 years of experience in working with children and their families. She is in the process of registering as an Occupational Therapist in Canada (currently registered as a New Zealand occupational therapist).
As a part of Rozanne’s journey over the last 20years, she has had the privilege of completing a variety of post-graduate courses (Sensory Integration, Neuro Developmental Therapy, DIR Floortime therapy, to name but a few). She has worked in multiple settings and most recently had her own therapy clinic in New Zealand. Being part of a therapy team that can work together with a child and their family is vital to achieving the best outcomes for a child.
